In 1543, Nicolaus Copernicus published his work on heliocentrism (the earth revolves around the sun).

It was mostly disregarded.

At the time, the earth was believed to be the center of everything. After all, it was home to…human beings!

In 1632 (89 years later), the Roman Inquisition found Galileo Galilei guilty of heresy for defending the sun (not the earth) as the center of our universe.

He spent the rest of his life under house arrest.

New ideas, those challenging the ‘status quo’, are often resisted. Sometimes violently.

However- those who have the courage to bring them forth and stand by what they know to be true, are the ones who change the world.

What are you standing up for…today?
