You make CHOICES.  Lots of them.

Some are hard.  Some are easy.

Some are made for the short-term.
Others consider the long-term.

The thing is-
the short-term and long-term consequences of the CHOICES you make are typically different…and often opposite.

For example,

You can CHOOSE to invest a bit of time exercising now,
or you can spend lots of time being sick later.

You can CHOOSE to save money now,
or you can spend it all, and be broke…later.

In his poem, “The Road Not Taken”, Robert Frost noted the consequences of taking the less common path:

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”

The road ‘less traveled’ is often your long-term CHOICE.
And it’s often the tougher CHOICE (which is why it’s less traveled).

Short-term…long-term…it’s up to you.

And this doesn’t apply only to money and health.
It applies to…everything.

Think about it-

Health, wealth, relationships, effectiveness, happiness…
(the truly important stuff)- all long-term propositions.

Great people, great relationships,
great organizations…go for the long-term.

Be great- take the ‘road less traveled’.

It makes ALL the difference.

Until next time,
